Marketplace

In addition to commissions and other projects, i often make items for general sale.  Below are some of the items which are currently available for purchase.  I’m not yet able to take credit card orders (but I do use PayPal and Venmo), so when you find the item(s) you want, please contact me to arrange payment and delivery.  You can email me at this link or message me on Facebook (link).

If what you’re interested in isn’t listed below, please contact me and let’s discuss your project.  Also, if an item includes a shipping cost, you can save that charge by picking up your item(s): (1) at my shop (near Greenville) or (2) from my office in downtown Grand Rapids.

Maple End Grain Butcher Blocks

These are always a popular item.  They’re durable, look great, and are a joy to use.  If you’re curious what an end grain butcher block is and how it differs from other types of cutting boards, this blog post (link) will answer your questions.  To see the butcher blocks currently available, click here.

African Mahogany Bath Boats

Every kid (and every kid at heart) should have cool bath toys and what could be cooler than a boat handmade from African Mahogany?  These are kid safe.  I use non-toxic (and waterproof) glue, plus I don’t use any kind of finish.  Now, you wouldn’t normally put bare-naked wood like this in water, but African Mahogany can take it.  It’s a great wood for outdoor projects and stands up to water.  I’ve had several parents tell me that their boat held up just fine to bath water and was still going strong long several years later.

These make great gifts at only $40 (plus tax & shipping).  If you would like one, just send me an email (link) or a Facebook message (link).  If you’re curious how I make these, check out this blog post (link).

Nameplates

These nameplates are popular and easy to ship anywhere.  These are just a few of the ones I have made recently.  Many different fonts, styles, and wood choices are available.  Prices start at $35.  Contact me with your ideas or for more information.

Wooden Spoons

Everybody loves a good wooden spoon.  In addition to more traditional spoons (see left photo), I also make a “Brian Setzer Spoon” (see right photo).  The Setzer Spoon has a pointed tip (aka the hairdo) in the corner which is great for scraping and digging around in the corners of your pans.  I carve every spoon by hand from hard maple.  I also make spatulas (photos arriving soon).  Spoons are $40 and spatulas are $35.  Contact me for more info or to place an order.
