As I noted in the previous post, the design and construction of these chairs falls into three general categories:
- what bent lamination is and how you do it
- construction and assembly of the chair frame
- construction and assembly of the curved seat and back pieces
The previous blog post addressed the first two categories. This blog post looks at the third category – the construction and assembly of the curved seat and back pieces.
As I’ve mentioned before, I also have a video series addressing these topics and the challenges they presented. However, I realize most folks don’t want to nerd out and watch me make chairs.
So, if you’re interested in how these chairs were made but don’t have a lot of time, this blog post is for you. Below are links to three separate posts which briefly explore the construction and assembly of the curved seat and back pieces.
However, if you do want to nerd out and watch me make chairs, please head over to my YouTube channel.
